Benchmark NSE Nifty index was trading 148.95 points up at 15068.05 on Wednesday on account of buying in frontline bluechip counters.
Among the stocks that touched their 52-week highs on NSE were: Adani Enterprises, Aegis Logistics, BEML, Cummins India, BASF India, DLF, Grasim Industries, IDFC First Bank, Motherson Sumi Systems, Piramal Enterprises, Sterlite Technologies, Tata Motors, Tata Chemicals and UTI AMC.
Overall, 42 shares were trading in green in Nifty50 index, while 8 were trading in red in the afternoon trade.
In the Nifty 50 index, Tata Steel, JSW Steel, Adani Ports SEZ, Grasim Industries and Hindalco Industries were among top gainers, while Hero MotoCorp, Bajaj Auto, Maruti Suzuki, Eicher Motors and M&M were trading in red.
