County Approves Story Right-of-Way Vacations – Sheridan Media

The Sheridan County Commission has approved the vacation of public-rights-of way near Story. Lodore Avenue and Lodore Avenue County Road were recommended for vacation by County Engineer Ken Muller, who was appointed by the commission to be the viewer of the petition. He discussed the issue with them at their last regular meeting. In his written report to the commission, Muller said his opinion is the right-of-way has no existing or foreseen future beneficial use to the public, and no benefit to any other county roads, and that the vacation is practical and should be considered favorably.

BJP, Congress target AAP govt over decision to allow liquor home delivery

Opposition parties in Delhi targeted the AAP government on Tuesday over its decision to allow home delivery of liquor in the city, saying it failed to provide relief to people affected by COVID-19 but is trying to deliver alcohol at their doorstep. The Delhi Excise (Amendment) Rules, 2021, notified on Monday, allow licence holders to deliver liquor booked through an app or a website at the doorstep of the buyers. The Delhi government said the provision of L-13 licence for home delivery of liquor was there in Excise Rules 2010 as well. L-13 is an existing license which has been amended. No license for L-13 or home delivery of license has been issued, said an official of the government.

The nationwide lockdown in the country in April-May last year that was followed by other smaller lockdowns in many parts of the country in the next few months had resulted a near washout for the sector in the first half. Sales fell by 42 percent in the first quarter and another 9 percent in the second to log an overall 29 percent decline in the first half.

Liquor sales recover 6% in Q4, but decline 12% in 2020-21

ANI File Photo Sales of Indian-made foreign liquor (IMFL) recovered in the January-March quarter with a 6 percent growth, but it declined 12 percent in 2020-21 on an overall basis. While the liquor sales fell by a whopping 42 percent in Q1 of the last fiscal, it declined by 9 percent in Q2 and 1 percent in Q3, before showing a recovery of 6 percent in Q4. Maharashtra, Uttarakhand, Arunachal Pradesh and Haryana were best performing states in terms of sales. The largest decline in liquor sales were observed in Andhra Pradesh, West Bengal, Rajasthan and Chhattisgarh against previous years. The total sales of Indian-Made Foreign Liquor (IMFL) products in 2020-21 was 305 million cases (9 litres each) which is nearly 12 percent below the previous year, according to the data compiled by the Confederation of Indian Alcoholic Beverage Companies (CIABC).
