Valders attempted robbery suspects sought by Manitowoc County sheriff

View Comments VALDERS - Manitowoc County Sheriff s Office continues to look for two of three suspects in an attempted robbery that resulted in an injury Wednesday in Valders. The sheriff s office said in a news release Friday that the incident is believed to be isolated and the public is not in any danger. Chase A.G. Wagoner and Hunter M. Steiner are sought as suspects, the sheriff s office said, and they are to be considered armed and dangerous and should not be confronted. Detectives have located and are no longer looking for a third suspect, Brayton S. Zimmerman. No further details were released.

MANITOWOC COUNTY SHERIFF SEEKS PUBLIC S HELP LOCATING SUSPECTS

By Kevin Zimmermann Jul 9, 2021 | 6:07 PM The Manitowoc County Sheriff’s Office is asking for help from the public in locating three persons involved in an attempted armed robbery Wednesday evening.  The incident took place in the Village of Valders, and the suspects caused injuries during the attempted crime.  The three suspects were identified as Chase A.G. Wagoner, Brayton S. Zimmerman, and Hunter M. Steiner. This is believed to be an isolated incident, and as such there seems to be no danger to the community.  However, based upon the investigation the Sheriff’s Office says that the suspects should be considered armed and dangerous.  As a result, anyone seeing them or having knowledge of their whereabouts should not confront the suspects, but instead notify local law enforcement agencies.

Mishicot man sentenced to federal prison for sexually abusing children

View Comments MANITOWOC - A town of Mishicot man was sentenced to 30 years in federal prison for sexually abusing eight Manitowoc-area children beginning in 1987.  Timothy J. Tetzlaff, 59, was arrested after an underage victim came forward to Manitowoc authorities in October 2020, according to a news release from the U.S. Department of Justice on Tuesday.  The release said Tetzlaff often took children on camping trips throughout the U.S. and Canada, and abused them several times throughout those trips. He also abused children at his home in the town of Mishicot and kept images of at least one victim that was taken while the child slept. 

Mishicot SWAT: Man arrested following Manitowoc County standoff

MISHICOT - A 40-year-old Mishicot man was arrested Sunday after a standoff with the Manitowoc County SWAT team.  Derek Kielkopf was taken into custody on suspicion of disorderly conduct domestic violence-related, battery, recklessly endangering safety and a probation hold, according to the Manitowoc County Sheriff s Office. Deputies and EMS responded around 4:45 p.m. to the 400 block of East Main Street for a disturbance and learned there was a man with a knife in the home. Officials said three adult victims got out, but Kielkopf refused to leave. The Manitowoc County SWAT team arrested him around 8:30 p.m. Kielkopf’s initial court appearance is slated for today.
