Virtual Learning Day for Families in Honor of MLK Day

Other virtual, learning events Teach for America DFW is hosting on MLK Day include: Virtual Fireside Chat with Mrs. Sarah Walker: The former president of the Tarrant County Black Historical Society. She will share some of her lived experiences during this historical time period. Children activists from Fort Worth ISD’s My Brother’s Keeper and other North Texas children will talk with Mrs. Walker and ask her questions. KERA News Claire Robinson, senior museum educator at the Holocaust Museum in Dallas, gives a virtual field trip tour to Dallas ISD students, on Mon., Dec. 7. Field trips have gone virtual, and Dallas Holocaust and Human Rights Museum is offering a live experience where tour guides actively engage with students. A group of Dallas high school students recently fired up their laptops, tablets and phones for a virtual visit to the Dallas Holocaust and Human Rights Museum. The field trip started like any of the thousands held every year at the facility, with the museum’s top educator leading the way.
