ISLAMABAD: The Foreign Office said that Pakistan remains fully committed to the promotion and protection of human rights and urged the international community to closely monitor the situation in the Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK) and also to urge India to respect its international obligations.
Giving Pakistan’s reaction to the recent US State Department Human Rights Report, the Foreign Office spokesperson, Zahid Hafeez Chaudhri, said that Pakistan remains fully committed to the promotion and protection of human rights, in line with its national legal framework and international obligations. Khyber Pakhtunkhwa [Pakistan], April 3 (ANI): The recent killing of four social workers in Pakistan s Khyber Pakhtunkhwa reflects the resurgence of several terror groups, including Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan in the northwestern region of the country.
The four social workers were killed by unidentified men on February 22, Dunya News reported. The Human Rights Commission of Pakistan (HRCP) had condemned the killing of social workers, saying that the re-emergence of terror groups in the area is a matter of grave concern. HRCP condemns the killing of four women social workers in #NorthWaziristan. The state must bring to book the perpetrators of this heinous crime.
