Want to get an important message across to Americans? Fast food may be the answer.
Later this month McDonald s will work with the Biden administration to make access to information on vaccines easier to access for the QSR s millions of daily customers, a news release said.
The initiative kicks off by month s end with the debut of third-party-provided COVID-19 vaccine information on McDonald s Times Square billboard.
Then, in July, McDonald s hot McCafé cups and McDelivery seal stickers will lead customers to vaccines.gov, where they can learn more about protecting themselves from COVID-19 infection and where to find local vaccine appointments. The packaging and ads feature art from the national We Can Do This campaign, setting the campaign s slogan against a map of the United States.

The U.S. will protect gay and transgender people against sex discrimination in health care, the Biden administration announced Monday, reversing a Trump-era policy that sought to narrow the scope of legal rights in sensitive situations involving medical care.
The action by the Department of Health and Human Services affirms that federal laws forbidding sex discrimination in health care also protect gay and transgender people. The Trump administration had defined “sex” to mean gender assigned at birth, thereby excluding transgender people from the law s umbrella of protection.

WASHINGTON (Reuters) – Gay and transgender people will be protected against sex discrimination in health care, the U.S. health secretary said on Monday, reversing policy of the previous administration.
Health and Human Services Secretary Xavier Becerra cited a provision in the 2010 Affordable Care Act that ensured protections against sexual discrimination in health care. “So now it’s clear, there’s no ambiguity: You cannot discriminate against people based on sexual orientation or gender identity,” he said in an interview with CNN.
