RIYADH: The Human Resources Development Fund (Hadaf) contributes to providing training and employment support programs for the industrial sector, bearing 50 percent of the wages for employment, training and qualification for jobs.
The initiative is part of the launch of the wage support program to stimulate the localization of jobs in the industrial sector in the Kingdom during 2021.
The initiative includes “Wusoul” supporting working women whose salaries are less than SR8,000 ($2,133), training programs approved by Hadaf, programs that cover plants that have an industrial license, and job opportunity programs in all regions of the Kingdom.
The fund called on the owners of industrial establishments to join the support program and list job opportunities through the national labor portal “Taqat.sa,” to benefit from the fund’s support. Abu Dhabi: Saudi Arabia’s National Labour Observatory of the Human Resources Development Fund Hadaf has revealed that the rate of Saudisation in the private sector increased in Q4 2020 to 21.8 per cent of the total private sector workers, compared to 20.9 per cent in Q4 2019.
The figure has steady risen since 2015, when Saudis made up 17 per cent of the workforce.
The number of Saudi subscribers from the private sector in social insurance in Q4 last year was nearly 1.75 million, of whom 65.6 per cent were men, and 34.4 per cent were women, the statistics showed.
The Eastern Region achieved the first place in job localisation with a rate of 25.3 per cent, followed by Riyadh with 22.5 per cent, then Mecca region 21.4 per cent, Medina 19.2 per cent, and Asir at 17.6 per cent.
Saudi TRSDC hosts first on-site employment seminar
RIYADH, February 1, 2021 The Red Sea Development Company (TRSDC), the developer behind the world’s most ambitious regenerative tourism project, yesterday (January 31) hosted its first on-site seminar to explore employment and training opportunities for the communities living in close proximity to the development. The seminar took place at TRSDC’s Base Camp facility between the towns of Umluj and AlWajh on the west coast of Saudi Arabia.
