All types of pets, but especially cats and dogs, are being adopted twice as fast. Wendy Welch is the communications director for the Humane Society of Huron Valley and says many of the animals are currently being adopted within one day of being placed on the adoption list. So far this year, about 4,800 pets have been adopted from the local Humane Society.
Wendy Welch: Lots of us are working from home and we would like the companionship. Of course, there is the quarantine that started, and we have been isolated from other family members. So, it’s a great time to adopt, to get a companion animal.
