FORSYTH, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – All eight members of a Monroe County family safely escaped a morning house fire. Monroe County Emergency Services responded to the house fire on Benton Road around 7:30 Wednesday morning.
According to the MCES Facebook page, crews arrived on scene to find visible flames coming from the right side of the home. Monroe County reports that Willie and Tena Hudson were inside the home with their six children at the time of the fire. The kids’ ages range from three to 22 years old. The entire family made it out of the home with no inquires.
Woman escapes from large house fire in Monroe County

MONROE COUNTY, Ga. - A woman was able to escape a house fire in Monroe County Sunday morning.
According to Monroe County Emergency Services, the fire broke out at a home located on Zellner Road.
The woman, who was the only person inside of the house at the time of the blaze, escaped from a side window. Fire crews said there was zero visibility.
The woman told fire officials none of the smoke alarms inside the home were working.
Investigators are working to learn what caused the fire.

MONROE COUNTY, Ga. Monroe County Emergency Services responded to a house fire Sunday morning on Zellner Road.
According to a Facebook post, the woman inside escaped out a window. She was sleeping with her door closed, which gave her needed seconds to escape.
The post says the woman couldn t see or breathe, and that she didn t have working smoke alarms.
Crews from Stations 1, 2 and 12 responded along with Pumper One, which aids in areas with few or no hydrants.
Monroe County Emergency Services says you should often check to make sure you have working smoke alarms in all sleeping and living areas.
