Cunupia man burgled

Cunupia police are investigating a report of housebreaking and larceny of cash and jewellery in the district.
At about 11.45 am on Wednesday, a 35-year-old man from Ramsingh Street off Munroe Road locked the doors and windows of his apartment and left, police said.
He returned a few hours later, at about 7.30 pm, and found a window had been prised open and his home ransacked. the apartment ransacked.
Among his stolen belongings were $1,840 in cash, a diamond and a gold ring together worth US$500, and a silver band worth $1,200.
PC Beebakhee and WPC Ariendell visited the scene.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (News Release) Catherine Trew of Charlotte received a Mother’s Day gift from her husband she won’t soon forget the first $1 million Platinum 7s top prize.
“My husband came home Sunday afternoon and said, ‘I got you another Mother’s Day gift,’” she recalled. “And he handed me three scratch-offs.”
The couple sat on their back swing as Trew scratched her tickets.
“The first one was nothing,” she said. “The second one, I won $20, which I thought was wonderful, and then on the third one, the second number I scratched had that “1 MIL” bedside it. And we just sort of stared at it.”

Vaccination drive still going strong on Wednesday

On Wednesday, people waited for their names to be called outside the Southern Academy for the Performing Arts on in San Fernando to be vaccinated with the astrazeneca vaccine. - Marvin Hamilton
The vaccination drives at the North Central Health Authority and the Southwest Regional Health Authority continued to attract thousands of people on Wednesday after vaccination began again on Monday.
Over 2,000 people were vaccinated at the sites overseen by each RHA.
NCRHA CEO Davlin Thomas said 1,471 people were vaccinated on Tuesday, and he expected approximately the same number on Wednesday. He said there were people still showing up without appointments demanding the vaccine.
