Col. C.J. King relinquished command Wednesday of the Fort Knox garrison to Col. Lance O’Bryan during a change of command ceremony at Waybur Theater. Director of Installation Management Command-Training Vincent Grewatz officiated the event and discussed the importance of having great leaders in such a vital role. “The Army develops leaders that are committed, innovative, motivated and capable of handling challenges of command in a complex environment, and the last two years certainly qualified as that,” Grewatz said. “(Col. King) is one of these outstanding Army leaders.” Grewatz said O’Bryan also embodies those qualities and brings a track record of excellence to his new position.
