Monroe woman killed in shooting

Monroe woman killed in shooting A 29-year-old Monroe woman was killed late Monday night in an apparent homicide.  Authorities were dispatched to the 6000 block of Greenwycke Lane in Monroe Charter Township at 9:20 p.m. in response to a report of a shooting.  Responding Monroe County sheriff’s deputies found a deceased female at the residence. She has been identified as Katlynn Nicole Hill, a resident of Monroe. Responding deputies also located a male subject at the scene. The suspect was taken into custody without incident, according to Monroe County Sheriff Troy Goodnough. The suspect, a 29-year-old Monroe man, is being lodged at the Monroe County Jail. Authorities are withholding his identify, pending formal charges. Arraignment is expected soon.
