July 1 (Reuters) - The sweeping tax-fraud indictment unsealed on Thursday against Donald Trump s longtime accountant Allen Weisselberg threatens the 73-year-old executive with years in prison and puts heavy pressure on him to implicate the former U.S. president.
Prosecutors allege that Weisselberg, the Trump Organization s chief financial officer, evaded more than $900,000 in taxes by taking part of his annual pay in benefits including apartments, luxury cars and a cash bonus at the holidays, described in financial records as “holiday entertainment.

New York, Jul 1 (EFE).- The Trump Organization and its chief financial officer, Allen Weisselberg, pleaded not guilty here Thursday to felony charges for ostensibly conspiring to commit tax fraud.
Weisselberg, who turned himself in to the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office early Thursday before the unsealing of the grand jury indictment, appeared in court in handcuffs, but was released on his own recognizance after surrendering his passport.
He was joined in front of the judge by other senior executives of the business owned by former United States President Donald Trump.

It s reported that a Manhattan grand jury indicted the Trump Organization and Weisselberg on Wednesday. Weisselberg and the Trump Organization would be arraigned later on Thursday at a lower Manhattan court, Xinhua reported. US former President Donald Trump isn t expected to be charged in the case. The charges result from a multi-year investigation by the office of Manhattan District Attorney Cyrus Vance Jr., who doesn t run for re-election and would leave his office at the end of 2021. Vance has been working on the investigation for around two years covering hush money paid to females on Trump s behalf, tax practices, property valuations and others.
