MANKATO, Minn. (KEYC) - Mayo Clinic Health System Mankato administered its first covid-19 vaccines Monday. The rest of mayo’s southwest regional facilities will begin giving vaccines Tuesday.
Justin Legred, a PCU nurse of 15 years at Mayo-Mankato, was the first in town to receive a vaccine for coronavirus.
“If you’ve had a flu shot or anything else, it feels essentially exactly the same,” says Legred. He’s one of 192 health care workers at the Mankato facility getting their first of two Pfizer vaccines Monday.
