Olmsted County detention deputy dies on duty

ROCHESTER, Minn. An Olmsted County detention deputy died Thursday, April 15, after suffering an apparent medical emergency at the Olmsted County Adult Detention Center in Rochester.
Mark E. Anderson, 52, was pronounced dead at Mayo Clinic Hospital-Saint Marys after he suffered an apparent medical event, Olmsted County Sheriff Kevin Torgerson announced Friday.
Anderson was found about 9:30 a.m. in the employee men s locker room at the jail. His colleagues started life-saving measures before members of the Rochester Fire Department and Mayo Ambulance Service arrived.
