MUH services disrupted today due to cyber attack on HSE IT systems Published: Friday, 14 May 2021 14:12 The ransomware attack on the HSE IT systems is having considerable impact on hospital services in Mayo University Hospital today. In general terms some outpatient, chemotherapy and maternity appointments are continuing and patients should attend their appointments. Where appointments are not going ahead, patients are being contacted directly. All outpatient x-ray, CT and MRI appointments are cancelled. There will be delays with lab results today. Patients can expect delays in all clinics and in the Emergency Department today as existing IT systems are not in use and the manual workarounds are time consuming. We ask patients not to attend the ED if their health problem is not urgent.
