East Bengaluru is getting its first one in April If you’re living far away from Cubbon Park, don’t despair. Many areas in the city are getting neighbourhood tree parks. East Bengaluru’s first tree park is likely to be thrown open to the public by the Forest Department in April near Kadugodi. It is being readied under Chief Minister’s Mission 2021. A forest official said, “A tree park already exists and we are giving the final touches to it. Many NGOs have contributed to it. We are providing basic amenities like dustbins, chairs, toilets, benches, solar lights and drinking water facilities etc. We may have a front elevation and provide parking slots outside the park. Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa is likely to open the tree park in April.”
