According to a press release, DHS explains this will help connect people with available vaccine and let them know where and when they can get vaccinated. It will also let them schedule an appointment online. DHS said the registry will be used by those who opt in. Retailers Reminded Tobacco Age Now 21

Credit Pixabay.com The Marathon County Health Department reminds tobacco retailers that the legal age to purchase tobacco is 21, and has been for one year. Health Educator Jenna Flynn says even though state statutes are different, the federal law is what should be followed. “It is important for retailers to understand that it is a federal law, and they do have to comply.” Flynn says they have made several educational materials available to retailers and are working on promotional display items as well.  “We frequently do mailers to get them the information.  We’re working on a project right now to get them Tobacco 21 window clings.  We have a website available as well that retailers can visit.”

Possible COVID-19 exposure in Rib Mountain

By Liz Holbrook Jan 26, 2021 4:46 PM RIB MOUNTAIN, WI (WSAU) Health officials are letting the public know of a possible COVID-19 exposure at a business. The Marathon County Health Department put out a press release Tuesday afternoon about potential COVID-19 exposure at Bella Nails and Spa in mid-January. The release is being put out to identify possible close contacts at the business that could not be found through other means of contact tracing. An individual who works at the business on 2801 Rib Mountain tested positive for COVID-19 and was working at the nail salon during their infectious period. They worked at the business on Tuesday, January 19th from 10:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. and on Wednesday, January 20th from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
