WAUSAU, WI (WSAU) Arson charges have been dropped against a homeowner who went missing after their house caught on fire in 2020.
On December 29th, 2020 a charge of arson of a building with the intent to defraud was filed against Rebecca Pospyhalla. But on January 13th, 2021 the case against Pospyhalla was dismissed without prejudice.
In early November Pospyhalla was reported as missing by the Marathon County Sheriff’s Department after she couldn’t be found when her home burned down. Pospyhalla was found almost three weeks later by Marathon County officials after she had retained legal counsel and would not share any information about the fire with investigators.
