PHOENIX Arizona finally got its 11 electoral votes for Joe Biden counted late Wednesday after Congress reconvened and after a majority of federal lawmakers rejected claims on how the tally here was unreliable.
The ratification of the 10,457-vote victory for the president elect came after just six senators refused to accept the results.
In the House, the number of foes was larger at 121. But that that compares with 303 who found the objection led by Arizona Republican Reps. Paul Gosar and Andy Biggs to be not credible.

PHOENIX (AP) The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints was hit with several lawsuits Monday for allegedly covering up decades of sexual abuse among Boy Scout troops in Arizona, marking the latest litigation before the state s end-of-year deadline for adult victims to sue.
The church must be held accountable in order to bring healing and closure to Mormon victims of childhood sexual abuse, Hurley McKenna & Mertz, a law firm that focuses on church sex abuse, said in a statement.

PHOENIX The state s top prosecutor is siding with Republican legislators in their legal bid to demand access to election materials from Maricopa County.
In legal papers filed Wednesday, a top aide to Attorney General Mark Brnovich is urging Maricopa County Superior Court Judge Timothy Thomason to enforce the subpoena issued by Senate President Karen Fann and Sen. Eddie Farnsworth. Michael Catlett, a deputy solicitor general, told the judge that he should recognize the Arizona Legislature s broad authority to issue and enforce legislative subpoenas.
But even with Brnovich s backing, that may not be enough to convince Thomason that he should or has the authority to order Maricopa County to turn over a host of materials related to the election, from information on voters and duplicates of ballots to access to the counting equipment.
