CHANDLER, AZ â The Chandler Police Department on Thursday announced it has submitted charges for Lori Daybell in the death of her former husband Charles Vallow.
The department says it submitted a charge of conspiracy to commit first degree murder, which is now under review by the Maricopa County Attorney s Office.
The MCAO confirmed to ABC15 that it has received the paperwork and said it does not have a timeline for when a charging decision might be made.

CHANDLER, Arizona Arizona investigators are attempting to have Lori Vallow Daybell charged with the death her fourth husband, Charles Vallow.
On Thursday, Chandler Arizona Police Sgt. Jason McClimans confirmed to EastIdahoNews.com that on April 1, investigators submitted their case to the Maricopa County Attorney’s Office. The submitted charge is conspiracy to commit first-degree murder.
“Because this is an open case with our office and a charging decision has not yet been made, we are unable to provide comment on the case,” Maricopa County Attorney’s spokesperson Jennifer Liewer said in an email. “I can confirm a case was submitted by Chandler PD and our office is currently reviewing the facts and evidence in the case to make a charging decision.”

Almost four years after the incident, local and federal prosecutors have yet to make charging decisions in separate criminal investigations against a Glendale officer accused of tasering a handcuffed man in the groin and lying about the nature of the traffic stop.
The United States Attorneyâs Office for the District of Arizona and the Arizona Attorney Generalâs Office both told ABC15 their individual cases against former Glendale police officer Matthew Schneider remain under review.
