A man has been convicted of murder in the fatal shooting of 20-year-old JeShon Cameron.
On July 16, 2018, Gamron Tedford shot Cameron multiple times from close range at a gas station on the 2900 block of Mitthoeffer Road. A jury found Tedford guilty of murder Wednesday night after a three-day trial, Marion County Prosecutor Ryan Mears announced Thursday. A sentencing hearing for the 22-year-old will take place May 28 at 2:30 p.m.
Nearly three years ago, police officers responded to the eastside gas station and found Cameron in a vehicle suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
Cameron and another witness planned to meet Tedford at the gas station, when Tedford entered the vehicle, pulled out a handgun, and said, Don t move. You know what this is, the prosecutor s office said.
