As the school year comes to a close, many high school students are likely ready to celebrate by getting dressed up and dancing with their friends at prom or for seniors walking across the stage to receive their diploma.  With the coronavirus pandemic altering or canceling those high school traditions altogether last year, districts in Marion County want to bring back a sense of normalcy for students this year. All five school districts plus Tri-Rivers will have a prom or a similar activity, as well as more traditional graduation ceremonies.  This is due to Gov. Mike DeWine releasing an order last month that lifted the 300-person capacity limit for banquet halls and catering facilities. The new order applies to wedding receptions, funeral repasts, proms, and other events, whether or not food is served, at banquet facilities.
