SANTA MARIA, Calif. - Since the announcement of the Orange Tier in Santa Barbara County, doctors at Marian Regional Medical Center say it’s a great advancement for where we re at in the pandemic, and all that has been done in terms of vaccinating our communities.
They say while it s a great opportunity for small businesses that have been struggling throughout the pandemic to further their indoor operations, it’s also a testament to all that has been done by health providers across the county in terms of getting out the vaccinations and working in close partnership with the county.

SANTA BARBARA, Calif. People 16 and old are eligible to receive a COVID-19 vaccine in Santa Barbara County. Multiple locations around the county are offering vaccines.
Two of the largest distributions are Santa Barbara County Public Health and Cottage Health. Marian Regional Medical Center said they are partnering with Santa Barbara County Public Health. There are also smaller clinics and popup clinics around the county.
Near Santa Barbara in Goleta, Cottage Health is offering a drive-thru clinic at Goleta Valley Cottage Hospital. They have been averaging 10,000 appointments per week in April. There are a lot of appointments available on their website. Availability ranges from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Thursday through Saturday this week and next. To signup go to their website.

SANTA MARIA, Calif. - After the CDC has put a pause on the Johnson and Johnson vaccine, many are still concerned, especially if you received the vaccine in the last few weeks.
Doctors at Marian Regional Medical Center want local residents to understand that this pause is only precautionary, and the vaccine is still safe.
The pause was only made due to to an extraordinarily small risk of blood clots in a subset of the population.
