Kiros, 20, of Eagan, died from drowning, according to the Hennepin County Medical Examiner s Office. The recovery of Kiros body was made about 10 p.m. Sunday in shallow water of Earley Lake, east of County Road 5 and north of Southcross Drive W., according to the Dakota County Sheriff s Office. The Sheriff s Office had been alerted about 7:30 p.m. to someone in the area of the lake being missing. A Sheriff s Office drone spotted the body in the water, and a dive team made the recovery, the Sheriff s Office said.

North Minneapolis hit-and-run may be homicide, police say

Copy shortlink: The driver of an SUV may have intentionally struck and killed a motorcyclist Tuesday in north Minneapolis, said police, who are investigating the case as a possible homicide. Police responded to the 3100 block of N. Queen Avenue on a report of a hit-and-run shortly after 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, according to police spokesman John Elder. Officers arrived and found a man on the ground who was not breathing and did not have a pulse. Officers performed CPR on the man, who was taken to North Memorial Health Hospital in Robbinsdale in grave condition. He died a short time later.
