MINNEAPOLIS (AP) â The uncle of a teenager who recorded the last moments of George Floyd s life in a video that helped launch a global protest movement against racial injustice has died in a crash involving a Minneapolis police car.
Darnella Frazier said in a Facebook post that Leneal Lamont Frazier died early Tuesday after his vehicle was struck by the squad car that police said was pursuing another driver linked to several robberies.
In the Facebook post, Darnella said that the Minneapolis police has cost my whole family a big loss and that they took an innocent life trying to catch someone else.

MINNEAPOLIS One person is dead and a Minneapolis police officer was in the hospital Tuesday morning after the pursuit of an armed robbery suspect led to a crash.
On Wednesday, the Hennepin County Medical Examiner identified the innocent driver who was killed as 40-year-old Leneal Lamont Frazier.
Also Wednesday, an MPD incident report identified the officer involved as Brian Cummings. KARE 11 Investigates looked into Officer Cummings’ past with the department and uncovered federal court documents that show Cummings and another MPD officer were sued for using a taser on a man with mental illness. The officers denied wrongdoing, and the City settled the case for $10,000.

Authorities on Wednesday identified the man who was fatally hit during an exchange of gunfire Sunday during a party in north Minneapolis.
Paul E. Neely, 40, of Minneapolis, was shot in the head about 3:30 p.m. in the 2600 block of N. Logan Avenue and died about 40 minutes later at North Memorial Health Hospital, according to the Hennepin County Medical Examiner s Office.
Officers responded to a report of gunfire at a residence and found Neely having been shot multiple times.
