The Hennepin County Medical Examiner s Office has identified a Rosemount man who died of injuries suffered in a house fire earlier this month.
According to an autopsy report, 46-year-old Gene Spurzem died in the hospital on Dec. 4 after he was removed from a burning house two days earlier.
Firefighters responded to a house fire at 14185 Blaine Ave. S. in Rosemount around 2:30 a.m. Dec. 2 and were able to get the man out of the house.
Fire investigators told KSTP they believe the fire originated from the basement of the home, but the state fire marshal is still investigating.
