A February Amber Alert in Minnesota was sparked by a mother who lied about her child being abducted, according to criminal charges filed in Hennepin County District Court.
Jessica Gallagher, 40, of St. Paul, was at Rusty Taco in Northeast Minneapolis when she called police at 8:42 p.m. on Feb. 28 to report that her vehicle had been stolen while her child was still in the car.
A criminal complaint states that Gallagher said two unknown males stole her Honda Pilot with her 2-year-old child inside. She said it happened when she went inside the restaurant to pick up her order.

Floyd’s Cause of Death Was Homicide, Medical Examiner Says
Dr. Andrew Baker, the Hennepin County medical examiner who performed the initial autopsy of George Floyd, said that there were contributing factors to Mr. Floyd’s death but that ultimately it was homicide.

Judge Peter Cahill told the jury that the next witness is a medical doctor, but they won t have time to complete his testimony Friday.
He adjourned early and told the jury to return at 9:30 a.m. Monday, after he and the attorneys sort out legal issues.
It s possible a family member or friend will testify as a spark of life witness Monday as well. I would expect the state to rest on Monday, said attorney Doug Kelley, who is serving as a trial expert for KARE 11.
