The HSE letter highlights the need to delay the jab for anyone who has a fever or other temporary illness.

The HSE has written to nursing homes highlighting possible risks to frail, elderly people from the vaccine and stating some people may not be suitable vaccine candidates.
The letter, signed by HSE Chief Clinical Officer Dr Colm Henry, was circulated on Sunday to nursing homes and some homes forwarded the letter to families.

HSE urging private hospitals to sign up urgently to making extra capacity available
The Health Service Executive (HSE) expects the private hospital groups to sign up urgently to a “safety net” agreement for additional capacity as the parties seek to finalise details.
The parties had made good progress in talks and HSE Chief Executive, Paul Reid, urged them all to sign up and “put on the green jersey” as not to do so would be “incomprehensible”.

The HSE s confirmed just over 15,000 people have received the first dose of a coronavirus vaccine so far.
It s aiming to have 35,000 doses administered by the end of the week.
CEO Paul Reid says the plan is for 135,000 healthcare workers and residents and staff of nursing homes to be vaccinated by the end of February.

Meanwhile, the Covid-19 reproduction number could now be higher than 2.
That means for every person who gets the virus, they ll pass it on to at least 2 others on average.
The HSE says positivity rates are reaching 50 per cent in some testing centres - and hospitals are facing an extreme situation in the next 10 days.
