A rendering in the office of Erin Belgarde, Strategic Planning Coordinator for the Turtle Mountain Band of Chippewa Indians (TMBCI) in Rolette County, North Dakota, shows a dream becoming reality: the Turtle Mountain Recovery Center, a 100-acre campus with a central facility, supportive residences, confidence course, equine therapy stables, sweat lodge, medicinal garden and walking trails.
“The students at Purdue did that for us,” Belgarde says of the campus design.
The Turtle Mountain Reservation covers 72 square miles next to the Canadian border, so Belgarde and others were surprised when a USDA-funded program matched them with Purdue Extension.

Despite Gov. Kemp planning to lift many of the COVID-19 restrictions on April 8, some restaurant owners do not plan on making immediate changes.
DECATUR, Ga. - Beginning Thursday, many of Georgia s COVID-19 restrictions will no longer be in place. Gov. Brian Kemp made the announcement last week by signing three new executive orders.
One of those orders allows restaurants and bars at full capacity.
FOX 5 talked to restauranteurs on Wednesday about the restrictions being lifted.

COVID-19 long haulers who have suffered from the virus for months, some now for more than a year, may benefit from receiving a vaccine, according to a survey from Survivor Corps.
Survivor Corps is one of the largest grassroot organizations helping to gather research data on COVID-19, with thousands of followers on social media relaying personal stories and symptoms.
Long haulers experience reoccurring symptoms, such as fever and chills, shortness of breath and joint pain following an extended battle with COVID-19, according to Dr. Anup Kanodia, a family medicine practitioner at OhioHealth and a Clinical Assistant Professor at The Ohio State University. He also founded KanodiaMD.
