Noida: Vaccination drive will be carried out six days a week at block-level government centres from March 15. Four community health centres will now inoculate people daily, except on Sundays, along with the Government Institute of Medical Sciences (GIMS), Greater Noida, and the District Hospital at Sector 30.
The decision was taken after the additional chief secretary health, Amit Mohan Prasad, issued a directive on Saturday. The four health centres are in Bisrakh, Dadri, Jewar and Dankaur. These centres had been inoculating people on Mondays, Thursdays and Fridays till now.
“The directive was issued on Saturday with a view to reach out to maximum number of people, especially in the rural areas of the district and also to speed up the process. CHC Bisrakh, Dadri, Jewar and Dankaur will conduct the vaccination drive from Monday to Saturday starting March 15,” said Dr Neeraj Tyagi, district immunisation officer in charge of Covid vaccination, Gautam Budh Nagar.
