Senior consultants at both the Royal Liverpool and Aintree Hospitals have written to their own directors demanding action to protect patients, the ECHO can reveal. The extraordinary letters, from the Gastroenterology (GI) and Hepatology departments of both hospitals, were obtained by the ECHO under Freedom of Information requests after sources raised concerns.
