Some have been providing provisions and food to underprivileged communities, while others are banding together to donate medical equipment to hospitals in need. In May, Tzu Chi Foundation Malaysia launched its Covid-19 Solidarity Fund to collect money for medical equipment such as ventilators, beds, masks, and nasal cannulas for hospitals.

Maybank contributes RM14m to upgrade two public hospitals

Maybank chairman Tan Sri Zamzamzairani Mohd Isa said the programme will be carried out over 20 weeks via a three-pronged approach, namely through the provision of health equipment and supplies; mobilisation of human resources; and technical training including mental health and psychosocial support.
