Trail Blazers C Zach Collins undergoes third ankle surgery Field Level Media 30 Jun 2021, 07:55 GMT+10 Portland Trail Blazers big man Zach Collins had surgery on his left ankle Tuesday for the third time in the last 10 months. The Blazers announced Collins underwent a second revision surgery at the Hospital for Special Surgery in New York, shortly after The Athletic reported that Collins had re-fractured his foot. Collins, who missed the entire 2020-21 season, is out indefinitely. He is set to become a restricted free agent this offseason. Collins last played Aug. 13 in the NBA bubble near Orlando but sat out the playoff portion of the league s 2020 return due to his ankle injury. Collins underwent ankle surgery Sept. 1 and had a revision surgery to repair a left medial malleolus stress fracture on Dec. 30. His first revision surgery took place at Methodist Sports Medicine in Indianapolis.
