“We have our first date booked for Lollapalooza, and we’re headlining in Chicago,” Schon added. “And that’s supposedly in April.
Lollapalooza is held at Grant Park in Chicago, Illinois.
“Hopefully that’ll not get pushed back, because the vaccine is finally here,” Schon continued. “And hopefully they start dispersing it very quickly so everybody can get back on their feet and can get out and hear music, ’cause that’s what heals the world, I think.”

Kendrick Lamar has been announced as a new headliner for Roskilde Festival 2021.
The much-acclaimed Danish event, which will run from June 26-July 3 next year, has already confirmed the likes of Tyler, the Creator and Thom Yorke‘s Tomorrow’s Modern Boxes, The Strokes, FKA Twigs, Girl In Red, Kelly Lee Owens and more.

The announcement of a new headliner is giving fans hope that the festival – and 2021’s festival season as a whole – could potentially still go ahead despite ongoing coronavirus fears.

Northern Ireland’s Stendhal Festival has announced it will celebrate its 10th anniversary next year with two separate events.
The 10th instalment of the festival, which first took place in 2011, was supposed to take place at Balefully Cottage Farm this year, but due to the coronavirus pandemic it was cancelled.
Organisers have now said that they are much more optimistic about events returning in 2021 after the commencement of the roll out of a mass vaccination programme, which they say can be used in conjunction with social distancing plans they have already devised to ensure that the events can take place this summer.

Last weekend (December 12), Primavera Sound employed rapid coronavirus testing to host a live music event without social distancing.
The festival held a successful trial for mid/post-pandemic gigs, inviting over 1,000 people to attend an event at the 1,608 capacity Sala Apolo venue in Barcelona. Organisers at the event, dubbed PRIMACOV, employed rapid testing on arrival, with each attendee having to return a negative test before being granted entry. The results were available within 15 minutes.
“That was, precisely, the objective of this study,” PRIMACOV said in a statement. “To validate these kinds of tests as an extremely useful tool to be able to carry out any type of event, whether musical or not, without social distancing.”
