Retiring Therapy Dog Receives Heartwarming Standing Ovation from Hospital Staff Newsweek 5/3/2021 © Doctors Medical Center/Facebook Tassy Last week, a California Medical Center held a heartwarming sendoff for the retirement of one of its long-time therapy dogs, Tassy. On April 30, the staff at Doctors Medical Center in Modesto, California honored Tassy s years of service by giving her what they call a Code Sun celebratory walk. The center s staff lined the corridors and clapped and cheered for Tassy as she walked by with her owner. She was showered with oohs and ahhs by the staff along with praise for being a good girl. Though everyone was wearing a mask, smiles could be seen in the eyes of everyone as Tassy completed her final lap around the center.
