SPRINGFIELD, Ill. (KFVS) - The Illinois Department of Public Health reported 3,790 new cases of COVID-19, including 28 additional deaths, on Wednesday, April 7.
Currently, IDPH is reporting a total of 1,265,457 cases, including 21,423 deaths.
A total of 20,818,451 tests have been performed in the state.
As of Tuesday night, 1,710 people in Illinois were reported to be in the hospital with COVID-19. Of those, 353 patients were in the ICU and 142 patients with COVID-19 were on ventilators.

Public Health Officials Announce 2,931 New Cases of Coronavirus Disease
SPRINGFIELD – The Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH) today reported 2,931 new confirmed and probable cases of coronavirus disease (COVID-19) in Illinois, including 13 additional deaths.

– Knox County: 1 female 80s
– Lake County: 1 male 50s
– Livingston County: 1 female 90s
– Massac County: 1 female 70s, 1 male 70s
– Rock Island County: 1 male 50s
– Shelby County: 1 female 60s
– Union County: 1 male 60s
– Will County: 1 male 40s
– Winnebago County: 1 male 90s
Currently, IDPH is reporting a total of 1,261,667 cases, including 21,395 deaths, in 102 counties in Illinois. The age of cases ranges from younger than one to older than 100 years. Within the past 24 hours, laboratories have reported 5

WOOD RIVER Only 10 new confirmed and probable cases of COVID-19 were reported late Monday by the the Madison County Health Department.
The figure is the lowest reported for any one day in Madison County since June 30. To date, the county has recorded 28,891 cases.
Late Monday the county was also no new COVID-19 related deaths, leaving the total at 483. The county reported 494 tests Monday for a total to date of 289,600. There were 18 COVID-19 patients in Madison County hospitals Monday, two on ventilators.
The Illinois Department of Public Health on Tuesday reported a total of 141,831 COVID-19 vaccinations so far have been administered in Madison County.
