China will send 500,000 additional Sinopharm COVID-19 vaccine doses as a gift to Pakistan, announced Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi Tuesday.
These will be for frontline workers and senior citizens.
He was speaking at an event celebrating 70 years of Pakistan-China diplomatic relations. Both countries would tackle the coronavirus pandemic together, Qureshi added.

ISLAMABAD: As Pakistan continues to see a fall in Covid-19 cases, a website has placed the country on the 29th position in the list of 30 countries that have conducted the most number of tests per million population (PMP).
The National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC) has, meanwhile, recorded 1,050 patients who contracted the virus and 41 deaths over the last 24 hours.
Also, Pakistan is going to hold the first international conference dedicated to Covid-19 vaccine in which principal investigating officers of various vaccines will share their research papers.
