A man facing criminal charges in connection with an assault against a fellow gas station owner in Walsh continues to have challenges in maintaining legal counsel on the allegations.
Anwar Kamaran, owner of Save On Gas in the hamlet on the Alberta- Saskatchewan border, was charged last summer with assault against two members of the family who runs the Trailside Tempo station across the street.
He was released on two counts of assault causing bodily harm following that arrest.
In March, Kamaran – a onetime provincial Liberal candidate in Medicine Hat – was rearrested on allegations of issuing death threats through an online alias.
