In-person entertainment continues to reawaken throughout the state, with two more venues in Morristown coming to life this weekend:
♦ The Morris Museum at 6 Normandy Road will kick off another round of outdoor jazz and classical concerts on its back parking deck 7 p.m. tomorrow, Thursday, April 15, with Amani performing the songs of Lionel Richie. Rain date is April 16.

The Anshe Emeth Community Development Corp (AECDC) Central Jersey Diaper Bank is collecting baby clothing sizes newborn-2T, diapers and books.
Donations can be picked up if within Middlesex County. Volunteers from the Rutgers School of Nursing will arrive between 10 a.m. and noon on the day indicated.
At this time, no shoes, equipment, toys, etc. can be collected.
Hopewell Theater’s reopening plans will focus on ensuring the comfort of patrons.
Staff members are collaborating with health officials and industry professionals to create a safe environment for a future reopening.

♦ The Morris Museum at 6 Normandy Heights Road in Morristown will feature figurative and kinetic metal sculptures in a group exhibit titled “Natural Essence Motion Perceived” opening Saturday, April 10, and running through Aug. 15.
Featured in the show will be Brooklyn artist Alexandra Limpert, who crafts life-size-and-larger human figures and other life forms in steel. Her works include insects with moving wings, reptiles climbing the walls with clingy claws and human anatomy depictions. Other artists exhibiting will be Gianluca Bianchino, Sui Park and Rein Triefeldt.

The career window for a professional soccer player doesn’t stay open long.
Before Major League Soccer, Philadelphia’s Matt Knowles spent most of his career grinding between the American Professional Soccer League and the National Professional Soccer League, both attempts at re-creating the early success of the NASL and MISL. In the early 1990s, American players bounced around the country from season to season, from baseball fields to astroturf, chasing the dream, which Knowles accomplished for over a decade. Unfortunately, following a string of major injuries, his MLS window closed faster than he would have liked.
Big savings for students: NJ colleges now offering free courses
The New Jersey Office of Higher Education is working with a nonprofit organization to launch pilot program that will allow Garden State students and adults to get a boost in their college careers.
Brian Bridges, the state secretary of higher education said as part of the pilot, the Modern States Educational Alliance has agreed to provide a thousand college-level courses, without charge, to students at Mercer County Community College, Thomas Edison State University and Centenary University.
According to Bridges, the program is designed to help all students, “from those who are in high school seeking to go to college, on up to the adult learner who is looking to return to college to further their career.”
