PENSACOLA, Fla. (WALA) A Florida man was arrested on a felony video voyeurism after a hidden video camera was found in a bathroom used by children at a Baptist church.
The Escambia County Sheriff’s Office says 37-year-old David Patrick Nims was charged with one count of video voyeurism by a person 18 or older, who is responsible for the welfare of a child younger than 16. This is a second-degree felony.
Investigators say that on Sunday ECSO patrol deputies responded to the Calvary Baptist Church on Pine Forest Road in Pensacola after receiving a report of a hidden surveillance camera inside one of the bathrooms. Investigators assigned to the ECSO Special Victims Unit immediately began an investigation and identified Nims as the suspect, the ECSO says.

SR 7 major rehabilitation – A major rehabilitation project is taking place on SR 7 in the Crown City area. The concrete pavement is being replaced with asphalt, and there will be new culverts, catch basins, guardrail, and signage installed. The road is closed between Westbranch Road (County Road 162) and Sunnyside Drive (County Road 158). ODOT’s detour is SR 7 to SR 218 to SR 553 to SR 7. The truck detour is SR 7 to U.S. 35 south to I-64 west (West Virginia) to U.S. 52 west (re-enter Ohio). Estimated road reopening date: Dec. 1.
SR 850 resurfacing – One lane of SR 850 is closed between Hidden Valley Road (Township Road 445) and the U.S. 35 west entrance/exit ramps for a resurfacing project. Temporary traffic signals and an 11 foot width restriction are in place. Estimated restriction end date: June 30.

7:48 a.m. A caller from Hidden Valley Road reported their husband was walking their dog when the dog was attacked by a neighbor’s dogs. Reporting party stated their dog was injured and husband possibly had broken foot.
9:37 a.m. A caller from Kenebec Court requested a bat his cat brought in the house be tested.
9:51 a.m. A caller from Burjer Road reported a black SUV trespassing on property and backed into one of their vehicles.
10:42 a.m. A caller from Ocelot Drive reported a child was bitten by a gopher.
11:52 a.m. A caller from Highway 174 requested a welfare check on a dog that appeared not well taken care of.
