Ludlow, Shropshire
As one of the countryâs celebrated foodie hubs, Ludlow will become a battle zone for outdoor table slots now that lockdown has relaxed.
In a region famed for its wealth of local produce though, even low-key venues pack a flavour into every dish. Opt for takeaway salad boxes or cook-at-home three-course-meal kits from The Green Cafe, grab a box of nibbles go from Cicchetti Bar Ludlow or fine fare from Harp Lane Deli, where ingredients such as Amalfi lemons, nâduja and cognac are used as commonly as salt and butter by most of us.
Along with the medieval streets of black- and-white buildings, this town is particularly ogle-able thanks to the sight of Ludlow Castle (adult £8, child £3.50) rising above the River Teme in the centre. Itâs just reopened for tours.
THE festival season is truly beckoning, and you won’t need to pinch yourself to know it’s really happening. Are your baby carrots heavy on the health but light on flavor? Is that salad blasé? What about those under-flavored chicken wings, that boring baked potato, this cold slice of pizza? To millions of people in the U.S. and Canada, the solution to these culinary problems and more lies in one thing, and one thing only:

Though virtually unknown in many parts of the world, ranch is the unopposed king of salad dressing in the States. People seem to put it on or in everything there s even a ranch-flavored soda! Windsor firm investing $3.2M to make bottles for Pine-Sol

Clorox Co. is beefing up its supply of Pine-Sol household cleaner to battle the coronavirus pandemic, contracting with a Canadian company to manufacture and fill 12 million bottles a year.
Chemical maker and packager Dimachem Inc. of Windsor, Ontario, said it will modify its facility, add blow molding equipment and create a new line to produce the bottles. The expansion is expected to create 14 jobs. The employee-owned company now has a staff of about 40.
The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency specifically approved the original Pine-Sol multisurface cleaner-disinfectant as a coronavirus killer in September. Health Canada also has approved the cleaner for that purpose. Clorox said test results from a third-party laboratory showed Pine-Sol can kill the virus on hard, non-porous surfaces within 10 minutes.
