KUALA LUMPUR, Feb 6 Bursa Malaysia is expected to trade higher next week, riding on strong catalysts including the United States’ US$1.9 trillion Covid-19 relief package, the rollout of vaccination programmes worldwide and higher commodity prices.
“Bursa Malaysia is expected to be in consolidation mode with an upward bias to trade between 1,590 and 1,600 points next week,” Inter-Pacific Asset Management Sdn Bhd chief executive officer Datuk Nazri Khan Adam Khan told Bernama.

KUALA LUMPUR, Dec 31 ― Bursa Malaysia entered the final day of 2020 lower due to the lack of buying momentum.
At 9.10am, the benchmark FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) fell 5.07 points to 1,639.34 after opening 0.15 of-a-point easier at 1,644.26, compared to yesterday’s close of 1,644.41.
Market breadth was negative with losers edging past gainers 244 to 218, while 368 counters were unchanged, 1,291 untraded and 56 others suspended.
KUALA LUMPUR: Bursa Malaysia’s key index opened higher but turned lower thereafter, weighed down by index-linked counters led by Maybank and Kuala Lum.

KUALA LUMPUR, Dec 30 Bursa Malaysia’s key index opened higher but turned lower thereafter, weighed down by index-linked counters led by Maybank and Kuala Lumpur Kepong.
At 9.10 am, the benchmark FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) fell 1.15 point to 1,633.84 after opening 0.61 of-a-point higher at 1,635.93 compared to Tuesday’s close of 1,634.99.
Market breadth was positive with gainers outpacing losers 310 to 187, while 358 counters were unchanged, 1,273 untraded and 62 others suspended.
