The news came to light after a facebook post by Hot Diggitty Dog L.L.C. They ran a stand in the Dearborn Heights Home Depot and were told that corporate notified local stores that food vendors in Michigan stores would have to close up shop.
Bill Loizon, the owner of four stands in the Detroit area, told Local 4 that telling his employees about the closures was one of the hardest things:
They re like family, I had to call them the other day. I was crying in my garage. It s hard to say goodbye and tell them that they re done.

It s approaching two years since we learned Downtown Grand Rapids would be home to K-Rok, a Korean restaurant/karaoke bar. It s actually been three years in the making. I don t know about you but I was very excited to hear about this and have been anticipating its open. But now, I can t help but wonder, will it ever open?
The concept was created by the owners of Emonae, a Korean BBQ restaurant on 28th St. in Cascade Twp. K-Rok was set to open last March but was delayed by the pandemic. Then they revealed their new grand opening would be this Thursday the 15th, but that s not happening either. They shared the unfortunate news and issued an apology on their Facebook page, revealing staffing and shipping issues put a hinder on things.
