KLCI rebounds 0 56% in line with regional gains

Treasury yields were steady, it said. JF Apex Research said US markets surged overnight with the Dow hitting a record high as bond yields came off their highs after the Federal Reserve chairman downplayed the threat of inflation.

The actively traded stocks included Permaju Industries Bhd, Fintec Global Bhd, XOX Bhd, YKGI Holdings Bhd, Velesto Energy Bhd, Metronic Global Bhd and Alam Maritim Resources Bhd. The decliners included Pharmaniaga Bhd, Ajinomoto (M) Bhd, KESM Industries Bhd, Milux Holdings Bhd, Heineken Malaysia Bhd, Elsoft Research Bhd, Bursa Malaysia Bhd and Dutch Lady Milk Industries Bhd.

MPI 2Q net profit rises 49% on better revenue growth across all segments

KUALA LUMPUR (Feb 25): Malaysian Pacific Industries Bhd (MPI) posted a net profit of RM67.04 million for the second quarter ended Dec 31, 2020, up 49% from RM45.1 million a year earlier. Revenue for the quarter grew 17% to RM483.94 million from RM413.76 million in the previous year’s corresponding quarter.
