Havre Police Department Clayton Blade White of Havre, 25, was issued a summons on a theft charge after a caller at a First Street West business reported Friday at 1:54 p.m. that a customer had scammed them out of money. John Curtis Striker of Box Elder, 47, was arrested on charges of driving under the influence, failing to carry proof of insurance and open container in the city during a vehicle stop on First Street Saturday at 2:12 a.m. Saturday at 11:25 a.m., a caller on 10th Avenue reported finder their car with three slashed tires.
Commission discusses Beaver Creek dam work
The Hill County Commission discussed grant receipt, resignations and new hires at its weekly business meeting Thursday. The commission passed a resolution to amend the budget for the Beaver Creek Dam to receive funds from a Montana Department of Natural Resources and Conservation Renewable Resources Grant, which Hill County Commissioner Mark Peterson said will allow for the last of the dam’s immediately needed improvements. “This could be the last project to bring Beaver Creek Dam up to specs,” he said. He said projects on the dam have been going on for his entire tenure at the com.

Havre Police Department A caller at 7:49 a.m. Thursday reported a two-vehicle non-injury crash between a RAV 4 and a Chevrolet pickup truck at 13th Street and Fifth Avenue. A two-vehicle, non-injury crash involving a Jeep and a Chevrolet car was reported at 8:01 a.m. at Eighth Avenue and 15th Street. A caller at Montana State University-Northern asked Thursday at 12:27 p.m. to speak with an officer about a question. Cody Arthur Shortman of Havre, 36, was issued a summons on a partner or family member assault charge after a caller on Third Street asked officers Thursday at 7:47 p.m. to check on a man walking out in the cold.

Havre Police Department Christopher Paul Hammond of Hingham, 22, was issued a summons on a charge of violating a protective order after a 10th Street West caller reported a complaint Thursday at 11:37 a.m.
Hill County Sheriff s Office Anthony Dominick Harkins of Havre, 38, was arrested on a Justice or City court warrant served at Hill County Detention Center Wednesday at 2:22 p.m. Victoria Lynn Landon or Havre, 55, was charged with assault on a peace officer or judicial officer and assault with bodily fluid Wednesday at 5:51 p.m., while being held at Hill County Detention Center.

Havre Police Department A caller on Fifth Avenue reported Tuesday at 9:31 a.m. that money was taken out a checking account last week. Victoria Lynn Landon of Havre, 55, was arrested on charges of disorderly conduct and resisting arrest after a Tuesday 7:22 p.m. caller reported that a woman west of Fifth Avenue and First Street was trying to get into vehicles.
