UW opens the regular season at home with the UniWyo Invite as the Cowgirls welcome Belmont and Siena Aug. 27 for noon and 6:30 p.m., matches, respectively, before closing the invite with a 2 p.m., contest Aug. 28 against Saint Mary’s.
The second weekend features a trip to Charleston Southern September 3 and 4 for matches against Jacksonville State, host-Charleston Southern (Sept. 3) and The Citadel (Sept. 4).

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – With less than 20 days before their first race, the University of New Mexico women’s cross country team has been ranked fifth in the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) NCAA Division I Women’s Cross Country National Coaches’ Poll.
Falling one spot, the Lobos are 10 points behind No. 4 Stanford, who received two first-place votes. N.C. State holds the third spot with 307 points, and just one point ahead is No. 2 BYU after being ranked in the third spot in the Week 3 rankings. For the eighth consecutive week, Arkansas is ranked No. 1 with a total of nine first-place votes.
