Portland and Multnomah County officials on Wednesday decried the vandalism seen over the previous two nights, when crowds gathered for raucous demonstrations over the fatal police shooting of a Black man in Minnesota.
The demonstrations, held in response to the death of Daunte Wright, drew crowds that resemble those seen last year, when Portland experienced more than 100 consecutive nights of protests over the police killing of George Floyd in Minneapolis.
One person has been arrested in the recent pair of protests: Alma Raven-Guido, a 19-year-old college student who was identified by an informant within Tuesday’s crowd at the Portland Police Association.
