Police investigate Saturday homicide, carjacking and fatal crash April 11 2021
The names of the victims and suspects in the April 10 incidents are not immediately released.
Police are investigating a homicide, a carjacking that left one person seriously injured and a fatal collision, all on Saturday, April 10.
The victims were not immediately identified. One person had been detained and another arrested.
The investigation into the fatal shooting began at 1:15 p.m. when Central Precinct officers responded to a death investigation call at an apartment on Northwest Second Avenue between West Burnside and Northwest Couch streets When officers arrived, they located a dead adult male. Their preliminary investigation suggested the death was a homicide and one person was detained.

A man was arrested in downtown Portland on Saturday after police said he threatened a group of park rangers with a small axe and shot another person with a paintball gun in Chapman Square Park. He was found to be in possession of an axe, a paintball gun and a stun gun when he was arrested, police said.

Early Thursday morning, April 1, an adult man was threatened and carjacked while in a Troutdale parking lot.
Around 6:39 a.m. Multnomah County Sheriff s patrol deputies responded to reports of an armed robbery and shots fired in the Motel 6 parking lot at 1610 N.W. Frontage Road. Deputies found evidence of gunfire, and the adult male victim who was uninjured.
The two suspects had threatened the victim, fired a shot, then stole a gray 2008 BMW 5 series sedan. Deputies located the BMW traveling westbound on Interstate 84 near Northeast 122nd Avenue.
