In January, accused eco-saboteur Joseph Dibee suffered a broken jaw during a jail attack from another inmate at Multnomah County’s Inverness Jail. A federal judge singled out the sheriff’s office for not taking appropriate measures to ensure Dibee’s safety.
On Tuesday, Dibee tested positive for the coronavirus.
Dibee, 53, was evaluated only after his defense lawyer sought a judge’s order that required the jail to have his client tested.

A man was arrested and charged with a bias crime after he punched another man in the face at a MAX stop in Portland after inquiring about the man’s heritage, prosecutors announced this week.
On Dec. 15, the victim, an Asian American male, was waiting at the train stop near North Interstate Avenue and North Lombard Street, officials said.
The victim was wearing headphones when he was approached by a man, later identified as 38-year-old Daniel Hutchens.
The victim told investigators he took off his headphones to hear what Hutchens was saying.

PORTLAND, Ore. Thirty-eight-year-old Jennifer Lynn Cole was arrested Friday in connection to the torching of Portland business Reo’s Ribs last month.
According to the county’s sheriff’s office, Cole was booked at the Multnomah County Detention Center on an Arson II charge, a Class C felony, and is being held on $5,000 bail, Daily Wire reported.
“Reo’s Ribs, a restaurant in Portland, was destroyed in a fire overnight,” reported Andy Ngo on November 23, the night of the arson attack. “It is next to the businesses that were vandalized last week by antifa. The owner gave an interview where he was critical of that vandalism against his neighbors.”

Police have a arrested a suspect in the arson fire that heavily damaged Reo s Ribbs in Northeast Portland.
Jennifer Lynn Cole, 38, was booked into the Multnomah County Detention Center on an Arson II charge, according to the Multnomah County Sheriff s Office. Her picture outside the restaurant had previously been released by the Portland police Bureau.
The fire happened in the early morning hours of Nov. 23 at Reo s Ribs on Northeast Sandy Boulevard. Crews arrived to find smoke coming from the back of the building and discovered flames both on the exterior and interior. The blaze was quickly extinguished and no injuries were reported.
Suspect arrested in October killing of 22-year-old man in SE Portland

Update: A grand jury declined to indict Dario Papa-Vicente on any charges in connection with the killing.
Police said Dario Papa-Vicente was booked into the Multnomah County Detention Center on charges of second-degree murder and unlawful use of a weapon. He is accused in the death of Noah Terry, 22.
Officers responded to reports of shots fired about 9:30 p.m., Oct. 24, at Southeast 48th Avenue and Southeast Division Street. Though they found no victims at the scene, but Terry later arrived at a hospital with a gunshot wound, police said.
